Christmas is over yet my tree still stands.

Yes, I cannot bear to see Charlie's stunned and truly hurt face when I take down the Christmas tree. The baubles are off, but the lights still remain. How can I remove them when he trots out, happy and expectant as a 15 month old should be to see the delight of his morning - the "beautiful red, yellow, blues and greens"...? The toddler has learned half his colors already!

My New Year's projects are the following:

Organize my house so that when we decide to put it on the market, the burden will be as light as it can be...

Look into augmenting Sam's educational life (which he complains is unbearably boring) with hands-on and real world projects, using the daily knowledge he's acquring - hopefully that will bring him a little more excitement and purpose...I don't know if I can handle the huge committment that homeschooling is, although I am SO tempted.

Continuing to stay physically fit (and mentally capable) about how to handle a child with Charlie's degree of physical-ness and precociousness. I fear I'm too old for a kid like him!
In fact, the King has arisen - I hear him in there right now pulling the silicone cribrail protectors off the rail and randomly hurling them around the room. ...More coffee please!
